Directors Council is a group of individuals who have lived expertise of homelessness in the SMAC region. They are imbedded in all CoC decision-making, and they vote on all members of the Governing Board, Monitoring and Evaluation Committee, and CE Advisory.

Expertise.
Directors Council has identified 2 areas of focus for SMAC. First is tackling the incredibly complicated housing system, and moving the burden of complexity away from people in crisis and onto the system itself. Directors Council is working to make the initial contact for help simple, and the help people receive comprehensive.

Organizations across the continuum of housing—from homeless service providers to housing providers— were considered, including but not limited to:
Organizations working to end homelessness by confronting housing challenges on a local, regional, or statewide level.
Organizations focused on the intersectionality of racial justice, LGTBQ+ equity, and other marginalized groups.
